Lately...

Dress: Check
Shoes: Check
Date: Check
Pictures: Check
Food: Check
Transportation: Getting there…

All ready for Homecoming next weekend! I’m so excited! Last week, Brandon FINALLY asked me to the homecoming dance. He “broke into my locker” and put sticky notes in the shape of a question mark in my locker. The . of the question mark said, “Will you go to Homecoming with me?”  So how could I not say yes? (:
My dress is one shoulder, black, and has a design on the left shoulder. Brandon doesn't know anything about the dress. He only knows what he is supposed to wear. I told him he needs to wear either black pants with a black shirt, or black pants with a white shirt. My personal favorite, on him, is black on black. It would match my dress VERY well! His tie is either going to be red or silver. Once I get the pictures on my laptop, I will make sure I post them. (:
School has been crazy lately. So many assignments and test. A Spanish project kept me up till 5 Tuesday morning. I only got 30 minutes of sleep. :P  So Wednesday was my sleeping day.
I told a few people, but I don’t know if word got around or not. Monday, November 5th, Brandon got 25 stitches in his mouth. In fifth period, which is P.E. for him, the guys were playing basketball. There is a guy in there who he doesn’t like, and they got into a little argument. While playing, the other guy kept fouling Brandon and he was all over him. So Brandon kind of pushed him away. The next thing Brandon remembers is looking at his hand, while on the gym floor, with blood everywhere. The other guy had punched him in the face, and knocked him to the ground. The left side of Brandon’s mouth split open. He had three layers of stitches. 25 total. The outside stitches came out the next weekend and his pain was gone by that Friday.
That Monday was going to be his first day back at practice for basketball due to a muscle strain in his calf. Because of the stitches, he wasn’t able to practice for another week. Because he was suspended from school for 2 days, he is suspended from 3 basketball games. This Friday, which just happens to be out homecoming game, will be his first game back. So Monday, when LAMP plays Trinity at Trinity, he will be on the bench, unable to play. But, being the loving girlfriend I am, I will still be there. How could I pass up the opportunity to come back and see friends?
The next month will be a very busy month. Between Basketball Games, Christmas, and Exams, I will be one very busy girl. So I doubt I will be able to update until Christmas break. I will make sure that Homecoming pictures are up by then though.
                    Until Next Time,

Update(:

I've been getting a lot of requests to update, so I am taking some time (mainly because I have a few minutes) to share some stuff.
So the last time I updated was July 7th. And since then, many things have happened - mentionable and non-mentionable.
The next week, I helped out with VBS at Frazer, and I was also sick the first three days of that week. Brandon and I had a littler gheto/little kid date Thursday of that week... We went to Chucky-Cheese. It was actually and surprisingly fun!
The next week, on July 17th, it marked our one year. <3 We had a candle light dinner at my house and we watched Titanic. He gave me the cutest cupcake necklace. It's small, but I love it!
A few weeks passed. I went with Brandon and his family to a Baseball Game. It was a great time, but it was also a VERY sad night, for me at least. It was the last night I was going to see him before he left to Haiti for 9 days. When he dropped me off at my house and we had the "final" hug, I LOST it. I started crying but somehow I saved the worst of it for once he walked out the door. The next day, he was packing and resting up. He told me that he cried the who way home because he hated to see how much it hurt to watch him leave. )': It was so sad!
But that week wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. Without him here, I got through my summer reading HISTORY book. Y'all... It was a legit History book. Called 1491. It was SO boring!!! I missed him terribly, but I got a lot done, which is good. He was home before I knew it and school started soon.
The first day was really weird because the only girl I really knew was Becca White and I hadn't had the chance to ask her if we had any classes together. But, she was the first person I saw when I walked into my first class. It turns out we have 3 classes together. She and I have become really close and she is actually dating one of Brandon's close friends so its been easy to talk to her.
The first few weeks were hard, Brandon wise, because we had gone from seeing each other 2 days a week to 6 days a week. We both knew it was going to take time to get used to it and I think that is the reason we were able to talk everything out and not just give up.
I'm gonna go all mushy for a second... He is my bestfriend. He has been by my side through a LOT of stuff lately and he is honestly the reason why I have been able to push through things lately. He's crazy, and he's loving. He's smart, and at times, he's stupid. He loves to be with my family and he gets SO excited when I tell him that Mason is here. He loves to be with Mason and play with him and it just makes me love him any more.
Okay. Enough with the mushy crap.
One thing that LAMP does that I find AMAZING is Service Projects. There are many details that go into this, but the main thing is each class divides into groups and goes out and serves in the community. Many churches in Montgomery do local outreaches and that is what Service Day is. They can't make it Christian based, but if you ask me, I would say that it is Christian based. And I love it!
Brandon and I chose to go to the Adullam House. Every time I go here, I am touched in a different way. Usually, I clean out the clothes closets. But this time, I got the opportunity to be with the infants. If you don't know much about the Adullam House, it is a place where kids whose parents are in jail can go and live there. They are treated like normal children, even though they aren't.
But while I was there, I cleaned a bathroom and played with the children. Most people would say that I had a fun, easy, and worthless job. But they weren't there with us. The women who volunteer there were tired and the needed to rest. There were two of them and at least 7 babies all under the age of 3. It was crazy! I don't know how they stay sane! It was a great experience and I encourage all of you to go and check it out sometime.
So far, I am enjoying LAMP. Overall, the people are awesome and very sweet. I have made some new friends, but I will never be able to forget all the memories I have from Trinity. I loved growing up with y'all and I wouldn't trade that for the world. It was just time that I left. God put LAMP in my path for a reason and I was determined to find out why. I have now. And it is to be a light there. Matthew 28:19 says, "Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations,[a] baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit."
God has called us the make disciples of all nations and many people think that means in other countries, but there are people here who do not know Christ. I want to help them and that is why God put LAMP into my path.

I miss you all and I will see you soon!!!

                                                          Love,
                                                                                  Tiffany Taylor

My Summer In A Lot of Words and Pictures(:

So during the school year, I promise I will be better at updating!

This summer has gone by so quickly! It just amazes me how fast time flies.

I have already been to Fort Walton Beach, Stone Mountain, Miami, Orlando, Disney World, and Lake Martin this summer.

Every year, there is a National tournament in Fort Walton Beach Florida for AMAI Taekwondo. I usually have the opportunity to participate. I only competed in two events this year : Demo Team and Team Board Break. We got third in Demo and second in Team Breaking! While down there, I got to spend some time on the beach with Morgan, her family, and her God-family.

Back in June, a few people from the youth group traveled to Stone Mountain for the day. We had a great time!

I have officially been home for ONE WEEK from Choir Tour 2012. We went down to Miami and Orlando for 8 day. We had an amazing trip!! The last three days down there, we went to Walt Disney World in Orlando Florida. We went to Epcot, Hollywood Studios, and Magic Kingdom.

This past week, I have spent with my cousins at Lake Martin. My sister and I went up Tuesday night. I stayed until Thursday, when my cousin Elizabeth and I went to a girls night at Momma Daisy's house. We had an awesome time even though there were only 4 other girls there. That meant more Ice Cream for us!(: Elizabeth and her family are getting ready to move up to Virginia. Her dad is in the military and it is time for them to move again. This could be the last time I see her for a while and I am not very excited. I will miss her so much! I know she won't be down for Christmas this year, but hopefully she will be back at the lake next summer.

I can already tell that summer and next year will be full of baking days!!!(:

Okay, so Toni's boyfriend Taylor is graduating this year so I decided to
be nice and get him a graduation present. Since he loves food, cupcakes especially,
I am going to make him these. They are chocolate with a chocolate kiss in the middle.

I have all of a sudden have begun to make cupcakes for Crave about
once a month. Next time I decided to make them, these are what I'm making.
These are smores cupcakes. I'm not totally sure what is in them, but
I guess I will find out!

Okay. This stuff is simple. I will be making a HUGE thing of this to take
on Choir Tour for my room. I hope my room will be Morgan Fleming, Hollan
Jayne VanderHey, and Graci Gelebert. Matty Drolette and Bailey Shipp
may end up in there with us.

I am the best girlfriend EVER!! I have this whole little surprise planned out
for Brandon when he has basketball tryouts and all I have to say is I am pretty
sure these little bad boy's will be in there somewhere. (;

Now this just looks colorful and yummy!! Fourth of July will be filled
with family, fun, and food. The four F's!

Update on Jason

This is a little late, But this is what Sonia posted last week.
I Feel The Need To Tell You

that you guys are incredibly smart.

And

I.

I
am
not.

Of course I came to this conclusion years ago
but the true extent of my non-cerebral self became glaringly obvious in
The Great Spaghetti Blending Debacle of 2012.

I had no idea.
I had no idea about gluten
and blending of pasta
and so on
and so forth
and such as
the Iraq.

First of all,
I was using
not a VitaMixer
not a Cuisinart
not even a real blender
but
well...

this

yeah.
A margarita machine.
`sigh`
I'm so ashamed.
That is my blender.
It's what I have.
My current choices are "shave"
or "blend."
And I've sorta figured out that is not going to work for me in this here circumstance.

Moreover, I put a bit of butter and chicken broth in
with said cooked spaghetti and thatsit.
No sauce.
No nuthin.
It's how the boy likes it
so that's what I put in it.

So now after reading all your tips I

A: Feel like a complete tool.

and

B: Now know all about gluten and acidity of non-existent tomato based sauces and such.

And for the record,
I have yet to try any more blended food....
and neither has he wanted me to.
I do believe I have scarred the child for life.

Moreover, we went to the surgeon today for a checkup and Jason has already lost 8 pounds.
8 pounds in 6 days.

I don't want to talk about that.

But truly, in better news,
his surgeon was far from concerned,
said this was normal,
said the weight loss should taper off
and will be un-wiring the poor teenager on Thursday, June 7th.

Which is my new favorite day.

Here's what Jason thought of the news:

Yep.
That's Jason.
And that is a whole lotta metal.

See that giant crack on his lower right jaw?
That would be the point of impact.

The other break is harder to see

but that's it right under his un-erupted bottom left wisdom tooth.

And this
is him and his dorky mom the morning of surgery
He puts up with me.
And I love him for it.
And that would be his dad giving him bunny ears.
It's seriously like we are 12 years old or somethin.
Please don't tell anybody.

And this was his legs when I went back to recovery to see him.

Gigantor's legs don't even fit in the bed.
Which made me chuckle.

And then I saw this

Drugged up, knocked out, but darnit, kid still has his phone.
Which was actually pretty sweet.
Kids from his class were texting him scriptures and prayers of support all morning.
Which just makes this mom's heart smile.

And then there was the not so funny thing we discovered that day during the routine pre-op stuff.
That'd be this:
That'd be Jason's spine.
Jason's very curvy spine.
Jason's very curvy spine that we had no idea was curvy but now it makes sense why his brother is surpassing him in height.

We have no idea what the heck this means just yet.
They have ordered a scoliosis series to be done....
but ya know....
that would involve yet another doctor...
and yet another waiting room....
and well....just not now.
Later this week perhaps.....but just not now.
I'm currently operating on a one thing at a time approach to life between hearts and clefts and jaws and now this.

I'm off now to blend {in my friend Julee's borrowed actual blender...thanks Julee!}
a pint of Ben & Jerry's Late Night Snack Ice Cream into a milkshake.
60 grams of fat
16 grams of protein
plus all the goodness that the whole milk that goes with it brings.

Just don't say the word spaghetti anytime soon
and we can still be friends.

So I guess that about sums it up.
I'm a dork.
Ya'll are not.
And I am continually grateful that you love me anyway.
